Storm Reconstruction Services, Inc. was recently recognized as the "Champion of the Industry" in 2000-2001 and was featured on national FOX TV.
Our principles have extensive experience in operating a construction and demolition recycling facility and have been in business for over 20 years. In the past year alone, SRS has successfully completed over $135 million in contracts for cities, counties, states and federal agencies.
Since our founding, we have coordinated reconstruction efforts for hurricanes, tornados, floods, wind storms, ice storms and fire. Our first experience with disaster management was when Hurricane Frederick ravaged the gulf coast in 1979, and we have been managing catastrophic clean up ever since.
Last year following the four major hurricanes, Charley, Frances, Jeanne and Ivan, SRS provided assistance throughout Florida and Alabama successfully completing Debris Management contracts which impacted both states. In 2003, SRS completed more than 35 multimillion dollar contracts in as many municipalities and counties. SRS also performed loading, hauling and disposal of over one million tons of debris in counties, cities and municipalities through the State of Kentucky after the 2002 Ice Storm, removing over 3 million cubic yards of ice storm debris in Arkansas, Oklahoma and Texas during the spring of 2001. SRS worked in Syracuse, New York where 20 of our crews cleaned up over two and a half million yards of debris following straight line winds. Working around the clock, we finished the job in just 60 days. We also completed a major project in Birmingham, Alabama in 1998 where an F-5 tornado inflicted over $300 million in damages. SRS was also on the ground quickly in Cobb County (Atlanta), Georgia after the catastrophic ice storm in January 2000. In addition, SRS is continually working with NRCS, USACE and a number of State DOT's performing debris management contracts.
